Leerlingen leren stap voor stap hoe ze een radiator veilig en vakkundig vervangen en aansluiten. ## 1. Leren door te doen In VR gaan leerlingen zelf aan de slag. Ze verwijderen een oude radiator, vervangen de ophangbeugels en gebruiken een waterpas om de nieuwe radiator goed uit te lijnen. Vervolgens sluiten ze de thermostatische kraan en retourkraan aan en leren ze hoe ze PTFE tape gebruiken om verbindingen goed af te dichten. Ook de laatste stappen komen aan bod: de cv installatie opnieuw vullen, de druk controleren en de radiator ontluchten. Drie levels De module is opgebouwd uit drie levels, zodat leerlingen stap voor stap meer uitdaging krijgen. Ze beginnen met de basiskennis van gereedschappen en onderdelen, zoals de moersleutel, schroevendraaier, radiatorkraan en ophangbeugels. Daarna passen ze deze kennis toe in de praktijk en voeren ze steeds meer handelingen zelfstandig uit. Ook fouten maken hoort bij het leren. Wat gebeurt er als een radiator niet waterpas hangt, een verbinding niet goed is afgedicht of de druk van de cv installatie te hoog oploopt? In VR ervaren leerlingen direct wat het gevolg is. Uiteindelijk komt alles samen in het examen. Leerlingen kunnen hier het praktijkcertificaat behalen. ## 3. Samen met de installatiebranche De module is ontwikkeld in samenwerking met IW Opleidingen en Wij Techniek.
